Research Analyst
Description

We are looking for a Research Analyst is able to demonstrate strength in qualitative and/or quantitative research, with interest in sharpening their existing research competencies as well as learning other methodologies. An expert in data driven analysis, well-versed in analytics and data science.

Responsibilities
  • Possess an interest in policy research and the multi-faceted causes and potential solutions to the issues tackled in this field.
  • Responsible for processing research datasets including data cleaning and validation and producing appropriate data output for research findings.
  • Using analytical expertise to define research requirements to colleagues and the research team.
  • Assist in analyzing data and preparing reports and presentations for clients.
  • The Research Analyst has expertise in facets of media research, including audience measurement and current issues and trends.
  • Able to analyze, interpret and visualize data with client needs in mind.
  • Work cross-functionally with data analysis and report research findings.
  • Deploy online survey research and analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with the research team to craft research reports that are data-driven, insightful and visually compelling.
  • Stay updated on the latest changes on the digital platforms and communicate the implications across the organisation.
  • Undertake all regular reporting as required. Ensure that reports are consistent, clear, accurate and timely.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager on a permanent or temporary basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferably a Master's degree or professional qualification in Economy, Finance, Political Science, Education, Social Science or similar field with 2-4 years of professional work experience.
  • Sound judgement, responsible and with solid work ethic
  • Strong background in a science, engineering or econometrics field of study (e.g. Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Analytics/ Financial Engineering/ Computer Science – preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to distill data into important, relevant ''so what's'' for research team
  • Demonstrated poise, maturity, and judgment in dealing with team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with particular attention to precision of language and ability to organize information logically.
  • Tech and research tools savvy
